My everyday make-up

I've been wearing make-up for a good few years and I would say now is one of the first times I've been completely happy with it. I thought it would be nice if I shared it with you and got your feedback on the products I use and whether you have any tips or tricks we could share with each other!

My everyday make-up

Face

I have a few bases I alternate between but recently I've been loving the Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' foundation (review in my previous blog). I love it because it covers up my blemishes and gives me an even skin tone, especially on those days when my skin isn't looking too great. You can buy it in most drugstores and it costs £8.99, which is really reasonable I think. The pump means that it is kept clear of bacteria from my face and my brushes, which will also help reduce the likelihood of getting more spots.

For concealer I use the Collection 'Lasting Perfection' concealer in shade 1, which is an OK shade for me but is perhaps a bit too light sometimes. I was going to take a picture of it but you can't see the label and it's really messy so I thought I wouldn't bother! The packaging is a bit rubbish because it leaks a lot so you have to be careful to not get it all over your other make-up. Apart from that, it is an all-round good concealer that hides blemishes and dark circles.

My Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder is my life-saver. No questions asked. I have it in the shade 1 (Transparent) and 3 (Peach Glow) which are good for if I just want to set my make-up or if I want to add a smidge of colour to my skin. It's only £3.99 which is a bargain considering it mattifies the skin all day and keeps my make-up in place. I could ramble on for forever about this product but I'll let you go and try it for yourself so you can ramble to your friends!

I use the Kiko bronzer powder in shade 100 which is a nice colour for me as it gives a nice warmth to my skin without making me look like a tangerine! It is really pigmented though so I only use the tiniest of amounts.

Eyebrows

You would not believe how bad my eyebrows are! They're so light that without anything on them I look like I have none - not a good look. I use an eyeshadow from the Natural Collection to fill in my brows as it creates a softer, more natural look that gels and sticks don't give. The only problem with the eyeshadow is that it has a very slight shimmer but after I powder my face with the Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder, the shimmer is gone. I use the angled RealTechniques brow brush, a recent purchase that has revolutionised my eyebrows - a bold claim, I know, but it's actually true!

Natural Collection eyeshadow in 'Asteriod'
I set my eyebrows with the Kiko 'Eyebrow Designer' gel mascara. I find it just keeps the powder from slipping and moving throughout the day. At 3.90 Euros I think that it's a brilliant product and not too expensive. Round of applause.

Eyes

I love making up my eyes; I find it so calming and relaxing. I tend to go for quite a natural smoky eye during the day and ramp it up with darker colours and eyeliner for the night time. Over the summer I began using the cream eyeshadows and I absolutely love them! They stay in place, blend easily and give a beautiful smoky effect.

'Bad Girl Bronze'

'Sin City'

'Romance Me'
My favourite daytime eyeshadow is the Rimmel 'Scandaleyes' eyeshadow stick in the shade 3 (Bad Girl Bronze). It's a gorgeous rusty brown colour that can be drawn on and left or blended in for a more subtle look. I also use a light shimmery Collection 'Intense Trio' in the shade 2 (Sin City) which is unfortunately discontinued so I would suggest finding another light shimmery eyeshadow. I like it because it opens up my eyes and creates a soft glow. I also use MAC 'Romance Me' in my crease as it adds depth and rounds my eyes nicely.
I also use the Collection 'Eye Definer' in shade 2 to go along the lash line; it makes my eyelashes look fuller and adds depth to my eyes.

I also use the YSL 'Babydoll' mascara as it doesn't clump and the brush gives a nice even spread of mascaras on each lash.

Blusher

I use the YSL 'Creme de blush' in shade 1. I love this blusher as it is a cream blusher so it doesn't move about during the day and it gives a lovely rosy colour to my cheeks.

If you can't afford YSL (I know it's expensive - I got it as a gift) I would use Collection blush in shade 2 (Bashful) as it is a nice cheap alternative that has good pigmentation and blends well to give a soft glow.

Lips

I have about 7 different lip products in my bag at the moment but I always go back to the Rimmel 'Vinyl Gloss' lipgloss in shade 150 (Lovesick) as it just adds a subtle slick of colour which can work for day and night.

It costs £4.99 and lasts AGES so it's worth trying! It tastes really nice so you'll find yourself licking your lips a lot :P

WOW that blog took a long time to write! I really enjoyed writing it so I hope you like it. Comment below your favourite product and whether I've convinced you to buy any of them!

See you soon and stay insane!
